Hiking or walking through the woods is a great way to strengthen muscles and is an activity that is very successful for children with dyspraxia – with an adult of course. Sweetwater Creek State Park is a place I have visited for more than 20 years and it’s a fantastic hike over both flat surfaces and large complex boulders. With an adult’s help, children can do this hike successfully and feel great about it. While hiking with friends they spotted this monster of a caterpillar – the Hickory Horned Devil. About 5-6 inches long and larger in diameter than your thumb. Freaky! Funny! Scary! Amazing! Scroll down for a close up.
